The National Council of the Italian Cities of Wine Association, led by president Floriano Zambon and director Paolo Benvenuti, were guests of the Istrian municipalities members of the Association: Brtonigla, Buje, Grožnjan, Novigrad and Oprtalj for two days. Over five hundred municipalities in Italy linked to the world of wine are members of the Italian National Association “Cities of Wine” which is the most numerous among RECEVIN – the European Network of Wine Cities. Great satisfaction was expressed by the guests for the “incredible progress” made by the wine world in recent years in these five Croatian municipalities which have the privilege to be members of the Association. This is the largest European network that deals with product protection, enhancement and sustainable development of the territory characterized by wine and viticulture.
