San Rocco gourmet restaurant is proud to be a part of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, famous association of young European restaurateurs. In 2017 JRE association will be celebrating 43 years of existence and commitment to maintaining high gastronomy values. The philosophy of JRE is to constantly encourage, support and promote “Talent&Passion” for food. Being a part of this association means constantly improving your service and quality meals, and having an open mind to provoking creativity and awaking hidden culinary talents, all in order to present unique food in a special and exciting way. 

JRE comprises 350 restaurants and 160 hotels all around Europe, respected for providing their guests with ultimate food service and experience. There are only 13 restaurants in Croatia that meet the standards of JRE, and San Rocco’s gourmet restaurant is pleased to be included on that list. 

Our gourmet restaurant offers traditional Istrian cuisine made entirely of fresh ingredients such as locally caught fish, truffles found in the nearby Motovun forest, delicious game dishes, famous Istrian ham and other Istrian delicacies and specialties. Original design and special care in preparation of unique meals posited our gourmet restaurant at the very top of not only Istrian, but also the Croatian gastronomy scene. The quality of our restaurant was recognized by the JRE association, as well as the world’s most renowned gastronomy guides such as Gault Millau, Magnar Ben, Le Guide de l’Espresso and many others.
