BIANCHERA
Istrian Bjelica, an indigenous variety to Istria and Kvarner, is characterized by pronounced spiciness and bitterness. The oil is golden-green in colour, the smell is reminiscent of cut grass, while the taste varies from olives, almonds to wild asparagus and chicory. Bjelica is characterized by strong resistance to low temperatures and high fertility. It goes well with meat dishes, especially beef and lamb, as well as hard cheeses.
